Pathway Church Longview

The Beginning

Pathway Church began in Marty and Julie Strait’s heart on September 22, 2008, when God told them to plant a Church in Longview, TX. They immediately began prayer meetings to seek God concerning this huge step and amazing adventure. On January 10, 2009, Marty and Julie invited a few family and friends to join a Bible Study. By February, they moved the Saturday night meeting to a local hotel and began to build a team to work and prepare for the official launch of Pathway Church.

Growing

Pathway’s first official service was on Sunday, September 13, 2009, in the Autumn Room at the Ramada Limited in Longview, TX. Since that day, the congregation has continued to grow and ministries started as we move toward God’s heart for Pathway. On September 18, 2011, we began offering two services to accommodate the growth of our congregation.

Your Place in the Story

At Pathway, the priority is the people. We recognize that church health is more important than numerical growth and church programs. We know that God has a specific plan and purpose for each person’s life. Our motto, “Connecting people to purpose,” reflects that understanding. The ministries at Pathway are simply a reflection of our heart to help and connect people of all economic, social and ethnic backgrounds in East Texas and around the world!
