Welcome to online giving, a service designed to make giving your tithes, one-time gifts, and recurring contributions as simple as possible. If you’re like many, much of your life is automated – including your finances. Online giving streamlines your offerings and stores giving history in a single safe and secure place. In fact, giving online is perhaps the easiest and most flexible way of giving at Pathway Church!

To get started, simply create a web user account right here. A secure account will be formed, through which you can add, edit or delete automatic or one-time transactions and designate where your funds should go.

For more information about online giving at Pathway, please see the FAQ tab above. If you have any lingering questions, Email us or call the church office at 903-212-7770

Tithing reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us; in reality, what is already His. Tithing is our opportunity to show God that He is first in our lives. James 1:17 says that “every good and perfect gift is from above ...,” so we have an opportunity to tangibly show God He is the “owner” of our finances by giving back to Him the first of what He gives us.

There are three reasons why we should tithe.

1. Tithing reflects our heart.

What is the most important thing to you? Jesus said in Matthew 6:21 that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” We can see the reality of that in the world today and the exaltation of the financially successful, and more personally you can see that by looking at your own checkbook.

Malachi 3:10
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”

2. Tithing is biblical.

Long before tithing was a practice of the Israelite people, Cain and Abel, the second generation of the human race, brought an offering to the Lord. The Lord blessed Abel’s offering, but rejected Cain’s. Abel brought the “firstborn of his flock,” while Cain brought “some of the fruits of the soil” as an offering. God wants to be first. The following scriptures show how tithing is biblical.

Genesis 14:18-20
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all.

Genesis 28:22
“And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will surely give a tenth to you.”

Leviticus 27:30
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.

Deuteronomy 26:1-2
And it shall be, when you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide.

3. Tithing is a benefit.

God’s kingdom is built on multiplication, not division. God uses the tithe as an investment where everyone involved gets a return on the investment. Obviously, the church and the kingdom are blessed, and yet God’s nature is to also bless the giver. This principle is highlighted in the passage below.

2 Chronicles 31:4-10
Moreover he commanded the people who dwelt in Jerusalem to contribute support for the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the Law of the Lord.

As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance the first fruits of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything. And the children of Israel and Judah, who dwelt in the cities of Judah, brought the tithe of oxen and sheep; also the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to the Lord their God they laid in heaps.

In the third month they began laying them in heaps, and they finished in the seventh month. And when Hezekiah and the leaders came and saw the heaps, they blessed the Lord and His people Israel. Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps. And Azariah the chief priest, from the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the Lord, we have had enough to eat and have plenty left, for the Lord has blessed His people; and what is left is this great abundance.”

Contribution Statements for businesses and/or organizations only are not available online at this time and will be mailed.

  1. Can I schedule recurring donations?
Yes, you can specify whether you want your contribution made once, weekly, twice per month, monthly, quarterly or yearly. You can set up as many scheduled contributions as you would like, so it is possible to give your tithe as well as any additional gifts.
  2. Will I still receive a contribution statement?
For the 2016 tax year, Contribution Statements for your tax returns can be downloaded and printed after January 15, 2017,  or whenever your final 2016 contribution appears in your giving history. Please click the Contribution Statement tab above and follow the instructions to obtain your statement.
Contribution Statements for businesses and/or organizations only are not available online at this time and will be mailed.
  3. What if I change banks or want to adjust the date or amount of a contribution?
You can edit or delete a scheduled contribution at anytime including the bank routing number, account number, date, fund, frequency and amount. These changes will need to be made under the username that originally created the schedule.
  4. Is online giving secure?
We've taken steps to ensure that the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end. All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for "Secure Socket Layer," a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.
  5. I received an email stating that my contribution didn't go through. What do I do?
When transactions don't go through, it is usually because of a typo. So try it again and double check your routing and account numbers.
  6. Who do I talk to if I have more questions?
Email us or call the church office at 903.212.7770 and we'll be glad to answer any other questions you may have.

Security
At Pathway, we use an online database called Fellowship One. Their system allows us to provide access to your contribution records and allows you to make donations online. They provide all of the security for the system. This system is used by churches throughout the country and has been fully tested by them.

There are two aspects of security related to the system. First, Fellowship One provides data security using the latest security technology. The following statement is from their security documentation: "[the system] utilizes the most current encryption technology to maintain the security of your data. Every parameter passed in the hyperlinks is fully encrypted. Additionally, the Login module handles passwords using what is known in technical terms as salted hash. In laymen’s terms, this means it would take 50 computers (running constantly) continuously presenting password combinations four years to discover the password."

The second aspect of security relates to account creation. When you first create a new account in the system, you will be able to donate immediately, but you will not have access to any previous contribution information. Before that can happen, we must manually link your previous information to the account you created.

In order to verify the authenticity of the account request, we will ensure that all of your data matches our current records (e.g., address, phone number, and email address). If there is any question, we will contact you via email before creating the link. Since this is a manual process, we will perform these steps approximately once a week, but if you would like to speed up this process, you can send an email to contributions@pathwaylongview.com.

When you create your account, you will determine your own login id and password. If you forget your login id or password, you can have the system email it to you by entering the email address that you used when you created your account. If you need help or cannot remember the email address you used, you can contact us at contributions@pathwaylongview.com. You can also change your password at any time.

Please help us keep your information safe by protecting your login information. Access to sensitive personal and financial information can be gained by letting someone else use your account or by leaving the information for someone else to see. Pathway will never call you to ask for your login information.

Our Policies
Your information is held securely by the Fellowship One system. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions.

You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be cancelled. If you have any problems or questions related to this, please contact us at contributions@pathwaylongview.com.
